Casual Academy Driver
Support our Academy as a casual Driver, providing transport to Academy players and staff to and from training, matches and host families & accommodation.
The purpose of the Academy Driver is to provide transport to Academy players and staff to and from training, matches and host families/accommodation. Working closely with the Academy Operations Manager to arrange timetables and transport routes in order to ensure that all passengers arrive safely and on time to their destinations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To drive the Club minibus in a safe manner in accordance with all traffic laws.
- To monitor and maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of the Club minibuses.
- Maintain mileage and usage logs as well as reporting any defects or concerns to the Academy Operations Manager.
- To report any accidents or near misses to the Academy Operations Manager.
- To refuel Club minibuses when required.
- Be available to work mid-week evenings and weekend fixtures.
MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education/Qualifications/Training:
- Clean, valid drivers license.
- PCV or D1 (without 101) entitlement.
Specific Experience:
- Experience in a similar role would be beneficial although not essential.
- Good knowledge of the local area.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with and support a team to achieve the desired standards.
- Able to work effectively in a team and also independently using own initiative.
Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:
- Flexible approach to work and changing schedules.
- Committed and driven to provide a safe and friendly environment.
- Attention to detail and pride in the quality of work undertaken.
- Focused on achieving Club, departmental and individual success.
- Be an ambassador for the Club, always presenting the Club in a positive image.
