IT Support & Cyber Security Executive
JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this role is to support the Club with all of its IT requirements, during the week and on match days.
Securing the network and providing core support to all staff members in the club and the community trust, are at the forefront of this. Providing the necessary support to keep the clubs network at 100% up-time, is essential to ensure the success of the Team.
The IT & Cyber Security Executive will support the IT Manager in providing technical assistance, troubleshooting issues, and helping to ensure the smooth functioning of the company's IT systems and infrastructure. This position requires a good understanding of various hardware and software technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Support: you'll play a key role in our IT support landscape, handling a variety of IT queries as required. This involves not just independently problem-solving and direct resolution but also collaborating closely with our vendors to ultimately ensure business user satisfaction and smooth business operation.
- IT Resources Management: you'll contribute to managing our extensive IT assets, ensuring both physical and digital resources are tracked, maintained, and updated to meet our operational and security standards. This includes overseeing the lifecycle of hardware, such as laptops and firewalls, and ensuring software licenses and user groups are current and aligned with our needs, promoting optimal access and seamless business operations.
- Develop and Update IT Documentation: your work will include creating and maintaining clear, useful documentation, including training materials and policy documents, ensuring that our team has access to the latest information and guidelines.
- IT Innovation and Efficiency: you'll engage in the development of solutions within our IT Labs initiative to automate routine tasks and optimise various workflows and processes, leveraging cloud platforms and services, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency.
- Cyber security: you will play a fundamental part in securing our networks and staff, to ensure we move toward our NIST compliance.
- Software Development: you’ll participate in the initial stages and beyond as a supportive force in our software development journey. You will assist in conceptual development, requirements gathering, and brainstorming innovative solutions. You'll also address user queries and lead training sessions, ensuring our solutions are effectively adopted across the organization. Your involvement may extend to programming on selected projects, if suitable.

Technical Foundation
Must have skills:
- GCSE Maths & English: Grade C or above. Further education desirable.
- Computing Systems and Networking: Understanding of computing systems and networking principles.
- Cyber Security: Understand the NIST framework (or similar)
- Tech Troubleshooting: ability to troubleshoot common issues with various devices and software.
- Microsoft Office Suite: proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication abilities to interact clearly and constructively with team members and business users.
- Organizational Skills: Proficient in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, including the capacity to prioritize and adapt to both planned and reactive work effectively.
Desirable skills:
- Cloud Computing: introductory knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
- Programming Basics: ability to code in JavaScript and Ruby.
- Microsoft Power Tools: familiarity with Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate would be advantageous.
- AV: knowledge in setting up Audio and Visual equipment.

- Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK
- Applicants must live in and around Luton, to support sites in and out of hours.
