JOB PURPOSE
Luton Town FC Community Trust are seeking to appoint four enthusiastic and dedicated Premier League Kicks coaches to deliver structured and enjoyable sessions which are inclusive and facilitate skill and ability development for participants to reach their footballing potential.
The Premier League Kicks coaches will support Premier League Kicks Youth Workers to engage participants to provide information, advice and guidance to participants on matters such as diversion from youth anti-social behaviour and crime,. There is also the potential for growth for the right candidates to work in formal projects such as schools, colleges and health settings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To support the planning and delivery of the Premier League Kicks sessions across Bedfordshire.
- Proactively engage participants in structured and enjoyable coached sessions.
- Proactively engage parents, partners and facility staff to achieve the aims above.
- Assist with the completion of necessary monitoring requirements including attendance registers and participants data capture for Salesforce reporting to funders and partners.
- Contribute to ensuring Premier League Kicks provision is delivered in a safe environment and all safeguarding and first aid regulations are adhered to by reporting issues to the relevant managers and partners.
- Ensure that any issues with equipment or first aid kits are reported to the Premier League Kicks Lead.
- Promote the positive and professional image of a professional football club’s community organization, including punctuality and appearance.
- Promote the Trust’s other projects and programmes to participants, parents and partners where applicable.
- Maintain a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) in line with Senior Management expectations.
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by line manager or equivalent.
- Adhere to all Luton Town FC Community Trust policies and procedures.
MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education/Qualifications/Training:
Essential
- Minimum Introduction to Coaching Football or FA Level 1 in Coaching Football.
- FA Safeguarding Children Course accreditation.
- FA Introduction to First Aid in Football accreditation.
- Experience of coaching and working with children and young people aged 8 to 18 in one to one and groups settings.
- Experience of working with children and young people who may present challenging behaviours.
- Demonstrable commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Experience of evaluating sessions for effectiveness of sessions and programmes.
- Able to encourage, motivate and enthuse participants to engage and participate in activities.
- A flexible attitude towards working and a willingness to work evenings and weekends.
- Ability to adapt sessions to meet the participants’ needs.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Maintain a high standard of work.
Desirable
- Hold a valid driving licence and have access to own transport.
- Minimum Level 2 in qualification in any other sport.
- Knowledge of local communities and demographics
Additional Information:
- Applicants must have a flexible approach to working across seven days.
- Willingness to work outside office hours.
- Ability to travel to sites throughout Bedfordshire (daily).
