Senior Commercial Executive
JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Commercial Executive will play a key role in the delivery and growth of Luton Town Football Club’s commercial activities, providing a first-class service to partners, sponsors, and hospitality clients. Reporting into the Head of Commercial, the role will support a wide range of revenue-generating programmes including matchday hospitality, player sponsorships, mascot experiences, and commercial events.
The successful candidate will be a primary point of contact for commercial and hospitality enquiries, ensuring seamless administration, professional delivery, and exceptional service standards across all touchpoints. This role will also support the planning and delivery of key commercial events such as the Club’s Golf Day, player signing sessions, and seasonal hospitality renewals, while providing operational support to the Partnerships and Hospitality teams.
As a key representative of the Club on matchdays, the Senior Commercial Executive will support hospitality operations and lead the mascot programme, ensuring a premium experience for all guests, partners, and sponsors.
RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

· Commercial Events (e.g. Golf Day, Partner Engagement Activities)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial & Hospitality Sales
· Act as the first point of contact for all commercial and hospitality enquiries via phone and the commercial inbox.
· Manage hospitality bookings, including payment processing, confirmations, and CRM/Netsuite input.
· Deliver the annual Player Sponsorship programme, driving new sales each season, fulfilling benefits, and coordinating associated events.
· Oversee the sale and delivery of Mascot Packages, ensuring memorable experiences for young supporters and their families.
· Support the delivery of seasonal hospitality renewals, ensuring a seamless process for members.
Matchday Operations
· Coordinate all pre-match hospitality preparations including guest lists, seating plans, car parking lists, table plans, menus, and matchday communications.
· Liaise with catering teams to ensure all hospitality requirements are delivered to the highest standard.
· Lead the set-up of hospitality areas, including matchday gifts, menus, accreditations, and branding materials.
· Greet and host all matchday guests, sponsors, and hospitality members, acting as a visible point of contact from arrival to departure.
· Manage mascot operations on matchdays, ensuring a premium and well-structured experience.
· Escort Match Sponsors and Ball Sponsors for dugout photography and coordinate Man of the Match presentations.
Commercial Delivery & Events
· Plan and deliver the Club’s annual Golf Day, overseeing all aspects from sales through to event execution.
· Coordinate weekly player signings, managing stock of signed items and fulfilling requests from all departments and partners.
· Support wider partner activations, including training ground visits, player appearances, and engagement events.
· Assist with the organisation and delivery of commercial events across the season.
· Administration & Relationship Management
· Maintain accurate records of all commercial bookings and activities on CRM systems.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitality clients, sponsors, and commercial partners, ensuring a consistently high standard of service.
· Provide proactive support to the Partnerships team, helping to fulfil partner rights and engagement opportunities.
MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education/Qualifications/Training:
· Demonstrable track record of relevant professional training and/or industry qualifications in sales, hospitality, or event management.
· Strong IT literacy with working knowledge of CRM systems, booking platforms, and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Evidence of continuous professional development, with a willingness to undertake relevant training as required.
· Understanding of safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion best practices (training will be provided where necessary).
Specific Experience:
· Proven experience in a commercial, events, or hospitality role - ideally within sport or live entertainment.
· Track record of delivering high-quality guest or client-facing experiences.
· Strong administrative skills with experience in CRM and/or booking systems (e.g. Ticketmaster)
· Experience managing commercial products such as sponsorships, hospitality, or events.
· Previous involvement in matchday or event operations desirable.

· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident when engaging with senior stakeholders, partners, and guests.
· Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
· Commercially aware with a proactive approach to sales and renewals.
· Ability to work collaboratively across teams while taking ownership of key projects and events.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays as required.
Additional Information:
· This is a full-time position offered on a fixed 12-month contract to provide maternity cover.
· Due to the nature of this role, which includes direct responsibility for the organisation and delivery of mascot experiences and regular interaction with children and young people, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing employment. Continued employment is subject to the satisfactory completion and maintenance of this check in line with the Club’s safeguarding policies.
